Michael Macht, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, presented the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car at its world debut in Geneva. This mid-engined two-seater combines the performance of a super-sports car with the CO2 emissions of a small compact, an innovative plug-in hybrid concept reducing emissions to just 70 grams CO2 per kilometers and fuel consumption to 3.0 liters/100 kilometers (94 mpg imp). Within this concept Porsche combines a V8 power unit delivering more than 500 hp and three electric motors with overall output of 160 kW.
Rolls-Royce has announced at the Shanghai auto show that its new Bentley Continental–fighting sedan, which was previewed by the 200EX concept at the 2009 Geneva auto show and has been known only as the RR4, will be called the Ghost. Check out this beautiful 2D animation created by German studio 12frames. It was created for the luxurious car maker Rolls-Royce.
R-Line equipment is already offered on seven Volkswagen models. Now the Volkswagen Passat CC R-Line has got a sportier touch. Orders are now being taken for the four-door coupé with R-Line package.
After much anticipation, Cadillac has finally announced all the details of the new 2011 CTS-V Coupe. The high-powered version of the new CTS Coupe, which debuted at the LA Auto Show, is powered by the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the CTS-V sedan, with an incredible 556-hp at 6100 rpm and 551 ft-lbs of torque at 3800 rpm. The new CTS-V Coupe will make it’s world debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show on January 11th and is set to go on sale in early Summer.
Peep here and set your eyeballs on a pretty darn good rendering designer, Mikael Lugnegard. This man who works as Lugnegard Design calls himself an artist, and with pictures so nice I’d frame em up at my abode, I’d call him one too. Today we’re presenting nothing less than the “Gentleman’s Racer” – an exercise in rendering that utilizes a triad of software tools that I’d bet an industrial designer like you would recognize.

We finally got the first official pictures of the SpeedART PS9-650 Porsche Panamera tuning package that will be unveiled at the upcoming Essen Motor Show. Aside from the performance upgrades and power kits for the Turbo model, SpeedART also gave the Panamera an array of PS9 aerodynamic and interior add-ons. The PS9 power kit consists of larger turbo chargers, sport exhaust and cats plus ECU upgrades. There are four versions available: 520, 550, 600 and 650-horsepower and up to 890 Nm (656.5 lb-ft) of torque.
